REPUBLIC OF ARCHITECTS // 2013

BEGINNINGS

The republic began its activity in 2008 even if it was established in the previous year. The initiative came all over the places – it was the right time for a new beginning for all partners. Even from the start we thought of the specific working way, of the idea which we were establishing for, the name we had. We thought that the whole organizational way of our entity is an essential element of the business idea as it contemplates a way of being and of working. We wanted to adopt a free organization style where everybody can keep his/her individuality, pursuit, passions, gathering all these under the umbrella of a bigger name and accepting ideas or advice from all the other partners. We wanted to have a team that that can gather behind a project or behind an idea and support it.

Simplexio is a concept that brings together innovation by combining organic forms with complex mathematical elements provided by nature, embodied together in special furniture made of metal and glass. Although futuristic design is a reinvention of elements from nature, the concept must capture the essences of things, whether it is a leaf, a stone, a shell or a tissue seen under a microscope. The aim is to understand the form and its simplification so that the result is an abstraction of it.
